Each space has been designed to provide deep rest, privacy and a connection to nature, always with an intimate and personalized approach.
Our 100% Portuguese premium mattresses, natural linen sheets, organic materials and tranquil surroundings have been chosen to offer a truly distinctive rest experience.
Quinta do Carril has 9 accommodation units, ranging from 1-bedr. to 3-bedr. rooms, making it possible to accommodate couples, families or groups wishing to share the experience in the same space.
Depending on the day, the activities taking place and the dynamics of the property, breakfast may be served:
in the Casa Mãe,
at the A Bucha Bar,
in the wine cellar,
or in another special area of the estate chosen by us.
We want every morning to be different and surprising.
We also offer
delivery to the accommodation (service for an additional fee),
laundry service,
optional daily cleaning,
change of towels and bed linen.
All accommodation outside the Casa Mãe has a fully equipped mini kitchen, allowing you to prepare simple meals on your own.
There is also a communal kitchen where guests can:
cook together,
bake artisan bread,
take part in typical dinners,
use the traditional wood oven.
Swimming pool & common areas
For safety reasons: there is no surveillance, children must always be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
Dangerous dives and inappropriate behavior are not permitted.
A refuge in nature
Quinta do Carril is located in the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park.
Here, nature is an essential part of the experience.
It's normal to find
- birds,
- insects,
- small reptiles,
- amphibians,
- other harmless animals that are part of the natural balance of the property.
We ask guests to respect the ecosystem, the animals and all the farm's agricultural areas.
Some areas may be temporarily or permanently closed to guests for reasons of security, natural preservation or the internal running of the property.
Silence, rest & conviviality
Out of respect for the other guests and the team:
the quiet period usually runs from 21:30 to 09:00,
unless otherwise stated the day before.
We ask that everyone live together peacefully, respectfully and harmoniously.
Although the quinta hosts private events, they are not held during periods of regular tourist occupation.

We are located in a protected rural area, privileging nature and disconnection from the urban pace.
The internet is provided via Starlink, and there may be occasional limitations in the speed or stability of the connection.
Currently:
vodafone is the mobile network with the best coverage on the property,
other operators may have signal limitations.
Being a rural and forested property, there may be occasional small temporary power outages.
Quinta do Carril implements conscious water and energy saving practices, so we encourage all guests to contribute to the responsible use of resources.
